London ON – (March 28, 2005) Purifics ES Inc., a licensed engineering firm and knowledge based business has been named the most recent recipient of the Featured Company of London Award.
Since 1993, Purifics has successfully developed unique technology to purify, separate and condition fluids such as air and water. These systems are used for the automated treatment of wastewater, groundwater and industrial process waters as well as contaminated air streams. The company draws on its diverse expertise and intellectual property (six issued patents and four patents pending) to develop client solutions that create environmental and economic advantages. This includes the elimination of waste and chemicals, fewer emissions, product recovery and most importantly, new production processes that support sustainable development.
By investing 15% of its revenue in research and development, Purifics has developed many new technologies and products that are currently being commercialized. Recent examples include a new solution for bilge water, de-painting fluid in the marine and aerospace sectors as well as a separate project for bio-gas power generation and nutrient management.

Butters will receive a commemorative plaque from Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco at the city council meeting on April 4. Together with the City of London, the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) announces a featured company each month.
