Doman Developments in Featured Company spotlight

London ON – (December 15, 2004) Doman Developments Inc. is the most recent recipient of the Featured Company Award presented by the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the City of London. The presentation will be made by Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco at the December 20 city council meeting.

Doman Developments was founded in 1986 with the acquisition of 88 acres and 30,000 square feet of commercial space in the Village of Hyde Park. In 1992 they erected twin buildings on North Routledge Park which added an additional 60,000 square feet of commercial space. They continued to grow and expand from 1994 to 1999 with the acquisition of more land and the erection of more buildings, bringing their total leasable space to over 172,000 square feet in nine separate buildings.

Doman Developments is currently in the planning stages of its most ambitious project: the Corporate Campus. This Campus, nestled in the 88 acre park in Hyde Park, will provide commercial, service commercial and light industrial space in quality buildings in a campus-like environment including walking/bicycling paths, open green spaces, park benches and a large pond complete with fountain. High-tech industries will be attracted to the campus not only because of the friendly environment but because of its close proximity to the University of Western Ontario, the UWO Research Park and the London Health Sciences University Hospital Campus.

Phase I of the Corporate Campus will feature 2 Class A Buildings offering 106,000 square feet of leasable space. Fully built-out, the Campus will offer over 400,000 square feet of space.

“The company’s President, Blair Doman has had a vision for a high-tech park in a campus-like setting that is close to Western, the Research Park and University Hospital, from the very beginning. This will be a boon not only for the high-tech sector but for all of London,” says Steve Glickman, Director of Business Growth and Retention at the LEDC.

Together with the City of London, the LEDC announces a featured company each month.
