London ON – (June 7, 2005) 3M Canada Company was announced today as the next recipient of the Featured Company Award presented by the London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the City of London.
Company President and General Manager Ian Hardgrove will receive a commemorative plaque from Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco at the city council meeting on June 13.
“We are excited about this award because it recognizes the strong contribution that 3Mers have made to the London community over an extended period of time and look forward to a strong ongoing relationship with the City,” says Hardgrove.
3M is a $20 billion (US) diversified technology company with leading positions in industrial, consumer and office, health care, safety, electronics, telecommunications and other markets. 3M Canada’s head office and original manufacturing site is located in London where approximately 1,000 of the company’s 1900 employees work. Other plants are located in Brockville and Perth, Ontario and Morden, Manitoba.
