London, Ontario – December 15, 2004 – KGK Synergize executives, Ms. Najla Guthrie President and CEO, and Mr. Robert A. Guthrie, V.P., Operations, have just completed a 10-day site visit to China (November 21-30, 2004.) The objective of the tour was to ensure that the ingredient suppliers can deliver the best quality nutraceutical ingredients for KGK’s product line. “We are responsible for bringing new, safe and innovative nutraceutical products to consumers world-wide. We felt it was extremely important to inspect the manufacturers, suppliers and their production facilities to ensure that they meet our quality standards,” states Mr. Robert Guthrie, “we had extremely productive meetings and feel confident not only in our current Chinese partnerships, but for solid future business relationships as well.”
The site inspections commenced with a tour and full inspection of Chengdu Superman Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. facilities, where an agreement was finalized to produce and supply KGK with ingredients for various products soon to be launched.
KGK then went on to visit Chengdu Wagott Natural Products Co., Ltd, in Chengdu, a supplier of raw materials for SytrinolTM. Wagott was brought on board by Dr. Liu of SourceOne Global Partners in Chicago. SourceOne Global Partners is the exclusive licensee of KGK’s Sytrinol TM product for the dietary supplement market.
A long standing partner in the R&D of nutraceuticals, ISO certified, Fenchem Enterprises Ltd. located in Nanjing was visited next by KGK. According to Mr. Guthrie, “Fenchem have presented an unparalleled ability to source and supply first grade materials, KGK is pleased to continue to work with Fenchem on many upcoming projects.”
The tour concluded with a visit to the immaculate and state-of-the-art GMP production and research facility in South China, The Food Engineering Research Center of State Education Ministry. This meeting resulted in discussions of a reciprocal partnership. In effect, KGK is to assist Shenzhen Leading Biotech Co., Ltd. in bringing their products to the North American market and Shenzhen to bring KGK’s products to the Chinese market respectively. Further, KGK discussed the possibility of utilizing their research facility as an additional site for conducting human clinical trials.
