London ON – (April 14, 2004) The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the City of London today announced Abuma Manufacturing Limited as the next recipient of the Featured Company of London Award. Company president, Jan Maarschalkerweerd will receive a commemorative plaque from Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco at the city council meeting on April 18.
Abuma Manufacturing Ltd. is a highly diversified contract manufacturer principally engaged in the production of fabricated metal components for clients in a broad array of industries including automotive, health care, environmental and the military. The company specializes in the fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel, and light-weight alloy components.
Conceived in the basement of a London home in 1980, the company started with only one employee. Today Abuma employs 45 people and has a reputation for quality, on time delivery, technical expertise and at times financial assistance.
