ON-SITE London opens for business

London, ON – (November 15, 2005) Energy Pathways Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of the London ON-SITE office. ON-SITE is a low-cost, federally-funded initiative designed to create win-win employment opportunities for both organizations and skilled individuals.

ON-SITE provides companies and organizations with an opportunity to “hire” a salary-free individual for a period of up to six months. During this period, wages are paid through Service Canada. Participants provide services in the areas of information technology, export development, quality management, occupational health and safety, environmental and energy management, to name a few.

“The opening of our London office is long overdue,” said Bill Armstrong, President of Energy Pathways Inc. “We value all of our existing relationships and look forward to creating new and exciting opportunities not only in the London/St. Thomas areas but in Sarnia and Windsor as well.”

Many London and St. Thomas area organizations have already discovered the benefits of participating in this valuable program.

“We have had a working relationship with ON-SITE for over three years and are extremely pleased with the program,” says Joe Dales, Senior Vice-President of Farms.com. “We have been able to explore new ideas and expand our business. In fact, many former ON-SITERS are still with us.”

Sponsored by the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters and managed by Energy Pathways, employees gain important career-building experience, make new contacts and often secure a new long-term position.

In her role as health, safety and environment assistant, ON-SITE participant Paula Jones has been involved with enhancing and maintaining the Health and Safety Management System at Jones Packaging.

“Paula has been a great addition to our team and has assisted our company with implementing a number of projects that assisted us in achieving our goals of reducing injuries and decreasing our impact on the environment,” says Susan Sunday, health, safety and environment manager at Jones. “We were pleased with how easy and straight-forward the program was to use and how helpful the ON-SITE team was.”
