Stream Announces 350 New Jobs in London

Richardson, TX, August 22, 2005—Stream, a leading global outsourcer of technical support and customer service, announced 350 new positions for its London contact center. These positions, supporting new contracts and growth within existing contracts, will be filled between now and October 1.

“Stream provides a great opportunity to work with the world’s best technology companies, learn a variety of new skills, take pride in individual success, and become an active member of our community,” Scott Dall, site director of Stream London, said.

Stream’s London facility currently provides service for major technology companies, including computer hardware and software manufacturers, and well-known Internet service providers (ISP).

The company’s new growth in London includes full-time and limited part-time positions, flexible shifts, outstanding benefits, the opportunity for advancement, and fully paid training for both customer service and technical support jobs. Online applications are conveniently available at www.stream.com.

“Our major goal as a company is to provide the exceptional customer experience,” said Toni Portmann, Stream’s president and CEO, said. “The values that go into this goal create a real sense of community that drives success and job satisfaction. We strive to provide a great work environment for employees and enable them to provide exceptional support.”

Stream currently employs more than 1000 people in London. Since the site opened in April 2002, Stream has contributed nearly $100 million in payroll to the London area, while also actively participating in a number of community programs. These programs include ongoing support for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, cancer research, and a number of other charities.

London, one of Stream’s four Canadian sites, is currently part of Stream’s deployment of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony. This cutting-edge technology enables the company to employ advanced call-routing mechanisms from its global data center in Dallas, TX. Ultimately, the goal is to create a unified, global contact center to enhance the exceptional customer experience in each of Stream’s sites. When completed, this deployment will place Stream at the industry forefront for voice technology.
