Tech jobs! Tech jobs! More tech jobs!

London’s digital creative sector is booming, and has more than 500 open job positions. London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is taking advantage of this positive momentum to raise the profile of the city’s tech sector and ensure companies have access to the talent they need to grow and thrive.  A multi-platform ad campaign and an active social media presence for LEDC’s London Tech Jobs initiative directly support workforce development in the sector.

London Tech Jobs is a site which lists open job positions within London’s growing digital creative sector. An accelerated ad campaign was started in November targeting key audience using traditional and new age media including Facebook and LinkedIn. Ads with video game gurus Digital Extremes and startup Inner Geek Inc. were recently featured on news sites including those of the London Free Press and the Waterloo Record. Ad space was capitalized on sites like Knighthunter.com. Diply.com and  techvibes.com – a leading voice in the Canadian digital space. To reach a broader audience, LEDC has also partnered with influential publications to feature the ads in their print edition. Coming up in a few days, watch out for a London Tech Jobs ad in magazines including MacLean’s!

Extremely active and engaged on Twitter, the London Tech Jobs account, @LdnTechJobs, is a great resource in the repertoire of those seeking employment in the field sharing open jobs positions daily. The account has a fun, vibrant voice speaking directly to those in the digital creative industries. The account has a wide reach with global active users and Twitter influencers following @LdnTechJobs from countries including United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

The recent ad blitz across platforms has provided the initiative added visibility, while supporting London-based tech companies an opportunity to share their job postings with an international audience. Since the launch of the campaign, 50 per cent more people viewed open tech positions on the website.

“By becoming a part of London Tech Jobs, employers can take advantage of the added visibility and promote their companies,” said Kapil Lakhotia, president and CEO, LEDC. “Currently, there are more than 500 positions available in the industry in London. This is just another way we’re demonstrating LEDC’s commitment to ensuring digital creative companies have access to a workforce with skills to take them to the next level.”
