Unique retailer and distribution centre receives featured company award
London ON – (November 30, 2005) Unique retailer and distribution centre, TSC Stores L.P., has been named the most recent recipient of the Featured Company of London Award. The presentation will be made by Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco at the December 5 city council meeting.
TSC Stores opened its first store in 1966 as the fledgling Canadian arm of Tractor Supply Company. Since that time the company has grown to become a recognized force in the retail sector. Today, TSC Stores is a locally owned, Canadian company with over 500 employees and 24 stores across the province.
TSC Stores has always been headquartered in London, originally operating out of a single back room in the first store on Dundas Street East. Today, the head office and distribution centre on Oxford Street East employs over 100 Londoners and occupies over 85,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Under President and CEO, Roy Carter, TSC has set a course of rapid expansion that will see them move beyond the provincial borders in the near future.
