Walk-throughs and Audits and Reports, Oh My!
Since May, we have begun to perform the walk-through audits for the members, starting with the German Canadian Club and Cornerstone Architecture. We are happy to report that our first two have been successes! Special thanks to Mike Fabro from MTE Consultants Inc. and Daniel Hsia from the City of London for their support.

Looking for Funding?
SAVE ON ENERGY REBATE
New incentives will be available through the Save on Energy Retrofit Program starting August 12.
Retrofit incentives are available to owners or lessees* of:
- Commercial spaces or buildings, such as offices, retail and grocery stores, restaurants, hotels and warehouses
- Industrial facilities in sectors such as food and beverage, automotive, plastics and packaging industries
- Institutional buildings, including hospitals, universities, municipal halls and arenas
- Agricultural facilities, including dairy, swine or poultry farms, greenhouses and nurseries
*If you lease, you must have the owner’s consent or authorization.
Overall, projects that are eligible under the Retrofit program are those that provide sustainable, measurable and verifiable reductions in peak electricity demand and electricity consumption.

ZERO-EMISSION VEHICLE INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM
Natural Resources Canada is doing a Request for Proposals (RFP) focuses on Public Places and On-Street and is now open for applications until September 18, 2019.
Eligible Projects:
- Increase localized charging opportunities in Public Places and/or On-Street;
- A minimum of 20 charging stations.
- The work performed must be in compliance with all applicable local codes (for example, building and electrical) and bylaws (for example, zoning and parking);
- Charging infrastructure must be installed in a parking space clearly identified for the purpose of charging electric vehicles; and
- Be completed within eighteen (18) months after the receipt of the Letter of Conditional Approval

CLIMATE ACTION INCENTIVE FUND PROGRAM - Project Stream
The Federal Government is offering a 25% rebate on virtually all energy efficiency projects between $80,000 and $1M for small- to medium-sized enterprises.
The application period is 90 days starting July 17, 2019, or until funding is exhausted. Approval is expected to take approximately 25 days from receipt of application after which time work can begin. Rebate covers up to 25% of total costs. Minimum funding $20,000 on an $80,000 project. Maximum funding $250,000 on a $1,000,000 project
Sample Project Categories:
- Agricultural retrofits
- Building retrofits
- Electricity, energy or fuel production
- Industrial process improvements
- Transportation retrofits
- Waste Management
The incentive is first come, first served until all funds are exhausted. A project cannot increase overall GHG emissions (ex. Fuel switching to a less efficient fuel). For more information on applications, refer to this guide.
