The Destination Canada Mobility Forum is an annual event organized by the Government of Canada. It connects Canadian employers and organizations with skilled French-speaking and bilingual candidates in various fields.
The virtual format will expand the international reach of the event even further, and we are working with our colleagues in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) around the world to promote the forum to qualified Francophone and bilingual candidates.
Canadian employers with available positions in provinces or territories other than Quebec, and who are authorized to recruit internationally under provincial or territorial regulations, can participate at no cost. The language of work does not have to be French.
Each company or organization participating as an employer will have a virtual booth where they can post available positions along with documents and videos. Employers will also be able to interact with visitors via chat or video-conferencing. In advance of and during the forum, employers will be able to review the resumes of candidates invited to participate. Candidates will be able to request an appointment or drop by the booths unannounced. Booths will be open from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm (CET - Paris time).
Other economic stakeholders, such as municipal or regional economic development agencies outside Quebec, as well as the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne (FCFA), Francophone Immigration Networks (RIF), Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (Rdée) Canada and its member organizations can also participate with a virtual booth, free of charge.
Only the principal contact for the company or organization should register as an exhibitor on the virtual fair platform. Once exhibitors’ participation is approved, they will receive a list of items to provide in order to set up their booth (logo, description, etc.) They will be able to identify the persons who will be present at the virtual booth to meet candidates at a later date. A training session will be held to explain how the virtual fair works.
