Panelists
Dr. Rob Arntfield is a Canadian intensivist, medical educator, researcher, and entrepreneur specializing in point-of-care ultrasound and artificial intelligence in healthcare. He serves as Professor of Medicine and Director of the Critical Care Ultrasound Program & Fellowship at Western University, where he also is medical director of the Critical Care Trauma Centre at London Health Sciences Centre. Additionally, Dr. Arntfield is the founder of Deep Breathe, a medical technology company advancing the use of AI to enable anytime, anywhere lung imaging.
Dr. Matthew Cecchini is a pathologist and assistant professor with a focus on pulmonary pathology at LHSC. He completed his MD/PhD and Anatomical Pathology training at Western University followed by a fellowship at Mayo Clinic. In addition to his work at LHSC he is a head of pathology for an international technology start-up company and his lab has developed novel imaging-based device that is currently being commercialized. His research aims to augment human brilliance with AI tools to accelerate and enhance the field of pathology.
Sara De Candido is the Director, Innovation and Business Development with London Health Sciences Centre. She is skilled in business development, systems planning, and stakeholder and government relations management. With experience ranging from health and regulatory systems to policy and advocacy, Sara is deeply committed to advancing the innovation mandate at LHSC, in healthcare and within our local eco-system.
