Manual Material Handling (Virtual)

Dates

Manual Material Handling involves the moving or handling things by lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, holding, or restraining. It is the most common cause of occupational fatigue, low back pain and lower back injuries.

Manual Material Handling is always hazardous, but the level of hazard depends on what you are handling, what the task is, and what the conditions are at the workplace or work site.

Join us to learn more about the hazards associated with the movement and storage of raw materials or finished products in, out and about the workplace. Understand strategies and practices to reduce the risk of injury while manually handling materials. This includes identifying and understanding the hazards, using ergonomic tools and equipment, and designing work tasks to minimize physical strain.
