- Overview of primary and secondary research methods.
2) Primary Research:
- Definition and examples of primary research.
- Different primary research techniques, such as surveys, interviews, observations, etc.
- Steps involved in conducting primary research.
3) Secondary Research:
- Definition and examples of secondary research.
- Sources of secondary research data, focused on sources available through the London Public Library
- Advantages and limitations of secondary research.
- Techniques for effectively accessing and evaluating secondary research data.
Speakers
David Proudfoot, Senior Business Advisor at the London Small Business Centre
Mark Richardson, graduated with an M. Div. (Atlantic School of Theology) and a library science degree from Western. He has been a librarian for the local separate school board and the Small Business Centre, as well as an archivist for the Diocese of Huron. He has been a librarian at London's downtown Central Library since 2000.
