The project management workshop will give participants an overview of the entire project management process, as well as key project management tools that they can use to manage a project successfully. The best-practice processes are mapped across the project timeline, the specific actions you need to take, and documentation you need to prepare. The workshop provides an end-to-end roadmap you can apply to your projects of any size, to optimize their scope, schedule, cost and risk performance.
By the end of this seminar, you will:
- Know the best practice processes, tools and techniques needed to plan and manage your project successfully
- Know the phases of the project life cycle and what happens in each
- How to create and manage project budgets
- How to create a project plan
- How to mitigate risks and monitor if a project is running smoothly
- Gain hands-on experience with the most important project management processes on a sample project

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Lameck Osinde
Lameck Osinde is a Technology and Innovation practitioner with over 27 years of progressive experience in IT Management, Project Management, Leadership and Training primarily in IT Innovation and Telecommunications industries. He has over 17 years’ experience teaching at College and University level. He holds a Master's Degree in Information Systems and is a certified a Project Management Professional® (PMP).
He has successfully delivered Projects on time and within budget for small & medium sized companies, large corporations, institutions and Government. He is currently Professor at Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College.
Lameck serves on the Board of Directors at London Small Business Centre, African Institute at University of Western Ontario and he is the VP of Professional Development at Project Management Institute, South- Western Ontario Chapter, where he has been a member since 2014.
Megan O’Neil
Megan has over 25 years of experience applying entrepreneurial tactics to social and public sector projects. She is experienced in implementing tools and processes to ensure project success, particularly for small teams in the throes of crazy-busy. She has managed projects with organizations including the Canadian Red Cross, the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs, Pillar Nonprofit Network, and FedDev. Megan has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
