Canada's and Ontario's top businesses and politicians gathered on the evening of Tuesday November 28th at Queen's Park in Toronto to celebrate and recognize success in Innovation.
Dr. Peter Cashmore, Executive Director Ontario for the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP),The Hon. Minister Sandra Pupatello, the Hon. Perrin Beatty President & CEO of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, along with Mr. Ian Howcroft VP, Ontario Division of the CME and Innovations Insights, Director Program Development Ms. Diane de Jong, presented the award to Quantum5x Systems Inc. for their development and commercialization of the QTR-1000 the World's Smallest Rubber, Flexible, Waterproof Broadcast Quality Wireless Transmitter.
The 2006 NRC-IRAP Regional Awards for New Technology recognizes innovative excellence in the development and application of new manufacturing technologies in Canada. The National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is Canada's premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized Canadian enterprises (SMEs). It is a vital component of the NRC, a cornerstone in Canada's innovation system, regarded worldwide as one of the best programs of its kind.
