To better attract jobs to the best transportation corridor in North America, the Province will soon start building the new 401 Wonderland Road interchange, and making improvements to three others.
The Province has issued a Request for Qualifications for the design and construction of the new Wonderland Road interchange. The Environmental Assessment work is completed and property acquisition has begun. Construction is scheduled to begin as soon as next year.
Early work on interchange improvements at Highbury Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway is underway. Proposed interchange improvements at Colonel Talbot Road will be presented for public review early next year. These improvements are expected to be completed by 2016.
These interchanges will help open up land for businesses including manufacturing, processing, research and development.
