The Business of Media
Every business has news to share or a story to tell, but how do you tell it in the right way?
Last week, the LEDC hosted a ‘Business of Media’ seminar for local London companies seeking expertise and guidance on how to interact with the media and share their stories of achievement.
Over 30 small and medium business representatives attended The Business of Media, in hopes to not only gain expert advice and make valuable connections, but to increase their business profile in the community.
Top business journalists and news decision makers attended to provide local London companies with valuable insights into how media operates and what to expect when communicating with media experts.
The seminar consisted of media panel discussions, where company representatives could ask questions and seek guidance in how to best tell their story. The crowd was then broken into groups and each table was assigned a media representative, where advice sharing was provided in a roundtable discussion. During this time, business owners had the opportunity to practice their media pitches and interview skills.
This unique event provided small and medium business representatives with insights into the business of media. In addition what the companies learned, valuable connections were made that provided many companies with opportunities for the future.
