CEO of Generation Capital visits the Canadian Club of London

London, ON – W. GEOFF BEATTIE, CEO of Generation Capital, addresses the Canadian Club of London’s 2015/16 Speaker Series Season at its lunch on Thursday, September 17, 2015.

W. Geoffrey (Geoff) Beattie is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Generation Capital, a privately owned investment management company located in Toronto.   Geoff is also the Chairman of Relay Ventures.
 
Geoff received a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and served as a partner in the Toronto law firm Torys LLP before joining The Woodbridge Company Limited, where he served as President from 1998 through December 2012.  The Woodbridge Company Limited is a privately held investment holding company for the Thomson family of Canada and the majority shareholder of Thomson Reuters, where Geoff served as Deputy Chairman from 2000 through May 2013 and director from 1998 through May 2013.
 
Geoff also serves as a member of the board of directors of Royal Bank of Canada (where he serves as the Chairman of the Risk Committee), General Electric (where he serves as Chairman of the Risk Committee), Maple Leaf Foods Inc., and is Chairman of Relay Ventures and The Prosperity Institute at Rotman Business School at The University of Toronto.  Geoff  Chairs the capital campaign at The University of Western Ontario .  In addition to his public company board memberships, Geoff is a trustee of Golf Canada and the University Health Network in Toronto and the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
