Creating a mdrn Utopia in London

Imagine a space where you could experience self-sustaining surface materials as you choose to transform your living or business space.  Jason Meyer and his team at mdrn Utopia have built a showroom filled with innovative, eco-conscious solutions to save customers time, money and energy.
“We wanted to give our customers a wide range of products to choose from, many of which are not on display anywhere else,” Meyer said. “mdrn Utopia is all about helping our customers change their surroundings to make them more efficient because life should have more substance and less maintenance.”
The 8,000 sq ft showroom is located at 65 Bessemer Road in south London and is divided into five sections, each emulating surfaces and products in various applications including at fitness facilities, playgrounds, balconies, pet runs, driving range, a putting green and a full line of low maintenance building materials; fences, decking, railings, sheds, and columns. A huge focus behind building the showroom is customer education. Meyer said many customers are unaware of renovation and construction solutions and are pleasantly surprised when they learn about sustainable products. For example, mdrn Utopia is the exclusive distributor of Everlast Turf to London and surrounding, an alternative to natural grass surfaces, which is gaining popularity with environmentally conscious customers: it uses less water, no fertilizer, is better for the underwater ecosystem and eliminates emissions from lawn mowers.  Another up-and-coming trend serviced by mdrn Utopia is that of rubberized driveways and surfaces. Sourced from a rubber company in Southwestern Ontario, Meyer provides this complete surfacing product, which is recycled and environmentally friendly, requires no demolition unlike traditional driveways and is usually installed in just one day.
“The contemporary technology is uncrackable, inexpensive by comparison, practical, enviro-friendly and can hold up in even the most extreme weather conditions,” Meyer said.
The recycled rubber drive-ways, of which Meyer has installed about eight in the London region, carry a five year warranty. The surface is an anti-slip surface covered under the Ontario Government's Healthy Homes Renovation Tax Credit for people 65 years and older.
“People are surprised at the number of products and applications availableto them right here in our city,” Meyer said. “Once customers experience about the products, we will see a spike in demand  as well.”
mdrn Utopia is offering a unique opportunity for Londoners to visit the team and the showroom during an Open House on October 29 from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Not able to visit the showroom? mdrn Utopia will be at the following shows throughout the region and will be looking forward to introducing more consumers to eco-friendly lifestyle solution:
