Echidna Solutions Corp. is pleased to announce its recent move to 207 King Street in downtown London, Ontario.
Echidna CEO Andrew McClenaghan says the decision to relocate to King Street was about as much of making an investment in downtown London as it was about the need to find a new space to house its growing development team.
"As a Londoner of the emerging leader demographic, being part of the revitalization of downtown London is a concept that really appeals to me," says McClenaghan. "When it became apparent we were outgrowing our previous office space, not only did I want our new location to be central to our client base, but I wanted it to make a statement about our commitment to this City."
Increased transportation options also played a role in McClenaghan's decision to move to the core.
"Because most of my staff lives in or around downtown London, working in the core makes it that much easier to access public transportation, walk or bicycle to and from work each day, rather than having to drive."
Mainstreet London and Jeannette MacDonald in particular, have been a great resource to Echidna as it worked to redesign what was a former restaurant and storefront building into an appropriate working space for a creative online marketing and web development technology team.
Through Mainstreet London, Echidna was able to secure a grant for facade improvement as well as access a special interest loan for façade improvement. They also kept Echidna informed of other areas of funding that might be available, including an upgrade to building code loan with the City of London.
