(London, Ontario) – On Tuesday, March 5, Fanshawe College will host its second annual "New to Canada" welcome night in partnership with local settlement agencies, language training centres, social support services and other community partners.
This information session offers new Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, refugees and their families a chance to explore how Fanshawe helps newcomers get the training and support they need for a successful academic and career path in Canada. College representatives from Access Studies, the English Language Institute, Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services, Recruitment, and the International office will be available to answer questions about program admission, language requirements, applications, paying for college, employment services and more. Community representatives include the Access Centre for Regulated Employment, the Cross Cultural Learner Centre, the Centre for Lifelong Learning, G. A. Wheable Adult and Continuing Education School, Immploy, LUSO Community Services, the Settlement Workers in Schools program, the South London Newcomers Resource Centre and the YMCA.
