Farm Boy™ is set to host another local product fair on September 30th to connect with local growers and producers. Following the success of the vendor fair held last February, Farm Boy is reaching out to London and surrounding area producers to pitch their products to Farm Boy buyers at their newest store located at 1045 Wellington Road South.
Shoppers at Farm Boy London will soon have an even greater selection of tasty, fresh and delicious local products from which to choose. The addition of new local products on the shelves of the fresh market retailer is also expected to help grow the local food sector and assist local processors in expanding their markets.
Farm Boy London, which opened its doors on June 12th, already carries an array of fresh and tasty foods from 40 local vendors, including Pine River Cheese Co-op, Organic Works Bakery and Youth Opportunities Unlimited. "Our customers have a hearty appetite for delicious London-area products," said Jeff York, President and CEO, Farm Boy. "By adding more local foods to our shelves, we are not only meeting their expectations for fresh locally produced foods, but also helping the local food industry reach more customers. It's a win-win for all."
Farm Boy buyers are looking to meet with vendors who can showcase unique products such as natural and organic produce and meat, delicious artisanal foods made in small batches, and fresh bakery and dairy items.
