Queen’s School of Business and AON Hewitt reported today that StarTech.com is 12th on their list of Canada’s Best Small and Medium Employers. This marks the fifth time StarTech.com has made the list, which is published annually in Profit Guide.
“We get a number of business awards each year, but this award is important because it’s based on employee input,” said Paul Seed, StarTech.com co-founder and CEO. “Employees tell us what we do well and what we could improve. We look forward to getting that feedback every year.”
Queen’s and AON Hewitt determine company rankings based on annual Employee Opinion Surveys as well as perspectives from HR leaders and senior leaders. 125 companies participated in the Best Small & Medium Employers study this year, and StarTech.com ranked 12th among them.
One reason StarTech.com employees rank the company high: opportunities for growth. The London company has hired 142 people in the last year and anticipates hiring a similar number in 2015.
