Film London is leveraging all London has to offer to bring the big screen to our city, with just over six months in existence, Film London has landed more than $2 million dollars in production and continues to promote the region as a go-to film hub.
Spearheaded by its newly minted Film Manager, Andrew Dodd who has extensive experience with the City of London and a background in Film, Film London is on the verge of establishing itself as a valuable resource for every aspect of the film industry. Andrew is excited to take on Film London and said,

Most recently, Film London partnered with the Forest City Film Festival to give a $35,000 cash prize to the first-ever Project Pitch Competition. The competition received over six pitches from Canadian Filmmakers and in the end it was the pitch of a bank heist thriller from production company 'Too Many Words' run by Geordie Sabbagh and Olga Ziman Sabbagh that wowed the judges. Their winnings will support the production and ensure 50% of the project is filmed in London.
Film London recently launched a website that is home to a talent, locations, and resources database. The creative and film industry is an entire eco- system coming together to drive things forward and ensure that London is on the map for film and television production in Southwestern Ontario.
