Inner Geek Changing Gears: The Beginning of Inner Geek Studios

LONDON, Ontario - May 6, 2014 - On Friday, Inner Geek announced that they will be starting
Inner Geek Studios, a 12 week incubator program for entrepreneurs, app developers and
designers that will be held between June and August of this year. Teams of 3-5 will create mobile
applications and transform them into businesses. While in Studios, they will come up with an
app idea to validate, build, and begin selling all in the 3 month timeframe.

Always having a passion for startups and helping them succeed, CEO of Inner Geek, Colton
Hathaway, believes that this is a great way for local talent to experience first hand what the
startup world is all about. “Building a business is hard and most people don’t know where to turn
to for help,” Hathaway explains. “We wanted to change this by pointing them in the right
direction.”

Inner Geek Studios is free. Candidates will be supplied with office space along with personalized
mentorship that is catered to their individual needs, weekly seminars to provide teams with
essential resources and knowledge, exclusive access to Inner Geek events, and the opportunity
for seed investment at the end of the program.

The program will be structured into 3 phases, each phase lasting approximately 1 month.
Candidates will begin by forming an app idea and validating it through market research in phase
1, build out an MVP (minimal viable product) during phase 2, and will finish the program by
future-proofing their business along with marketing, selling and refining their product in phase 3.
