There’s no mystery behind the success of London-based agency, Arcane. The 36-employee strong agency is breaking barriers with its innovative approach to developing digital strategies that sell more and Brand storytelling that grabs attention.
The company started just four years ago and has experienced massive growth with contracts from global clients and partners. Arcane president and CEO Eric Vardon, an industry veteran, chose to be a part of London’s digital creative space because of the amenities the city provided, including access to business destinations around the world from London International Airport. Lower overheads and business related costs also provided a strong case for a London-based agency, although Arcane also has a presence in Toronto.
“These factors make London a great place to run a business,” says Vardon, 37, who was also named to the Top 20 Under 40 list this month.
To fuel the continuous growth of the company which specializes in digital branding, Vardon stresses the importance of hiring the best and retaining that talent.
“We like to make working at Arcane a culturally memorable experience because our team members are very important to us,” he says. “We strive to provide a reason for people to knock on our door as far as employment is concerned.”
Pitching the great work environment and corporate culture to London’s growing digital creative community, Arcane attended the LEDC sponsored TechFest London presented by Techvibes. The event featured some of London’s fastest growing tech companies that presented open job positions to attendees.
“It was great to see the turnout at TechFest London,” Vardon says. “We met great people and we have already received some great applications.”
Arcane also offers internships to students from London’s world-class institutions like Fanshawe College and Western University. Many of the interns are hired into full time roles.
What’s next for Arcane? The company is heavily focused on growth and is looking to expand across the country.
“We’re not limited by production or talent,” he says. “We’re still in growth mode.”
Recently, Arcane also joined forces with Branding agency, Honey Design— a well-recognized name in the business for over 25 years. Vardon said the partnership is a natural fit.
“Arcane has always been a marketing firm, specializing in digital. It was important for our clients and our growth to align with a partner like Honey Design that has a different, but highly complementary skill set.”
