It's All About the Content: London Debuts Digital Production and Distribution at Canada 3.0

Stratford, ON (May 3, 2011) The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) invites you to experience a made-in-London approach to digital content creation and distribution at our Canada 3.0 Showcase booth and the “London Room” hospitality and digital media creation suite in Downtown Stratford Ontario.

Designed around collaborative, open-source and ‘freemium’ toolsets, the LEDC has partnered with the technology commercialization specialists at TechAlliance, the grassroots digital and social media innovators at UnLondon, and the locally-focused, digitally minded content creators at LondonFuse to deliver a truly unique contribution to Canada 3.0’s stated moonshot goals.

London will highlight its unique approach to digital media through a live production studio with webcasts from the Showcase floor, and from the London Room throughout the Canada 3.0 conference.

In addition, the London 3.0 digital media channel will broadcast content from London’s own iLOOKABOUT, a global pioneer in spatial digitization capture technologies; Digital Extremes, AAA Console game developer and creators of the Evolution game design engine; and Voices.com, the world’s largest virtual voiceover production studio.

Media are welcome to visit the London 3.0 Showcase booth and the London Room to engage with our team as we create and deliver content that can reach local and global audiences. Bloggers, podcasters and digital content creators are invited to use the digital distribution network and high-speed internet connection.

“This unique, open platform will allow the LEDC and its partners to highlight the innovative approach to digital media content creation and distribution being developed in London,” says Peter White, President & CEO of the LEDC. “

“The UnLondon Digital Media Association was purpose-built for opportunities such as these,” added Adam Caplan, President and Co-Founder of UnLondon. “Our mandate is to remove the technological obstacles to delivering the compelling, valuable, and desirable digital and social content being developed in our community, and we’re exceptionally pleased that LEDC has asked us to participate in this effort on the national stage.”

The London booth, 202-204 is open Canada 3.0 Showcase hours and the London Media Room, sponsored by LEDC and Labatt Breweries in Suite 107 Bentley’s Loft at 99 at 99 Ontario St., will be open 9am – 10pm Tuesday May 3rd and 10am – 4pm Wednesday May 4th
