JMP Engineering Wins $1.3 Million Order for Flexible Manufacturing Cell

LONDON, ON, October 4, 2004 – JMP Engineering today announced it has received a $1.3 million order from one of the world’s largest automotive exhaust system manufacturers to provide a complete flexible manufacturing cell as part of a cutting edge means of manufacturing in today’s highly competitive automotive industry. In the past, manufacturers have used special purpose equipment to perform various machining operations on the parts they produce. However, with automotive demands being generally lower and more volatile and with more offshore pressure, such dedicated equipment can be very risky and cost prohibitive, especially for North American auto parts manufacturers.
