London, Ontario, March 21, 2005 - Keigan Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of a ‘golden’ license of its mapping analysis software to Intergraph Corporation. Intergraph, based in Huntsville, Alabama is a leading global provider of Spatial Information Management software.
A ‘golden’ license gives Intergraph the right to further develop and market the technology under its own name in return for a significant one-time license fee. This transaction will generate sufficient capital resources for the London-based company to execute its ambitious evolution into a leading provider of software solutions for the public safety market.
“We are delighted to have capitalized on our valued partnership with Intergraph to help pave the way for the next stage in Keigan’s growth plan” said Paul Paolatto, CEO, Keigan Systems. “This transaction demonstrates the value of our technology to the market and our shared global customers.”
Keigan will be using the proceeds from the license sale to underwrite the development of its state-of-the-art emergency management technology for municipal first responders in Canada and the U.S.
“We believe our technology can make a significant contribution to the public safety community and we now have the resources in place to realize our objective” said Paolatto.
Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
