LEDC’s London Magazine, Made in London video, and 2018 Activity Update receive Hermes Creative Awards

Hermes Creative Awards recently announced early deadline winners for the 2019 international awards competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media.

With over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and dozens of other countries expected, London is currently the only city in the region to be recognized. The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) has been awarded for the following in the annual report, video, and publication categories:

  1. London Magazine – Platinum Award

The third version of the LEDC's London Magazine was published in early 2019 and is a free publication that can be used to promote your business, promote London, attract talent, and inform people about the opportunities that are available here. With a strong focus on all aspects of life – living, learning, working, and playing – the new magazine features 56 pages of original content and photography, featuring local businesses in London’s key sectors – food processing, manufacturing, professional services, digital creative, and health. The LEDC worked with Lashbrook Marketing and Public Relations and a number of local photographers to create this new publication. The Platinum award is the highest honor entrants can receive. Look for the ‘Order Free Magazine’ button on any LEDC web page to order your copies, or read it digitally on our Why London page.Made in London, Canada: Forked River Beer – Gold Award

Until 2012 when three homegrown entrepreneurs – one engineer and two biologists – launched Forked River Brewing Company, it had been nearly 15 years since a craft brewery operated in the city. Now, Forked River has grown to become a leader in the craft brewing space that brings a unique taste and experience to London. The LEDC worked with web.isod.es to create this video as collateral for the London Magazine. Watch the 30 second clip below:

  1. 2018 Activity Update – Honorable mention

The LEDC publishes an annual report highlighting its activities and achievements over the past year, which can be found on our About page. It received an honorable mention for its fresh design and unique way of organizing data.
