London, ON., (February 1, 2022) — The Better Business Bureau Serving Western Ontario is excited to be hosting a live event: the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics and the BBB Spark Awards on June 16, 2022, at The Factory at 5:30 p.m.
Previously known as the Business Integrity Awards, these awards were put on hold for the last two years, but they are back with a new name and new focus on innovation, as well as integrity.
“Leading a business during the pandemic has been more stressful than usual. So, we are delighted to showcase the resilience, commitment to ethical business practices, and sheer hard work of businesses at this year’s event,” said Jennifer Matthews, CEO of Better Business Bureau Serving Western Ontario.
Both awards schemes are no longer paper-based; they are now online. The nomination form for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics is https://www.cognitoforms.
Online nominations are due March 7, 2022. The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics and Spark Awards are available to all businesses, accredited or non-accredited; however, businesses must be in good standing with BBB. The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics celebrates for-profit and nonprofit organizations displaying acts of excellence and trust among their employees, customers and their communities. The BBB Spark Awards is another initiative of BBB that recognizes business owners ages 35 years and under or business owners of any age operating for less than three years who embody character, culture and community in their business model.
“Because everyone wants to get back to ‘business as usual,’ we are committed to hosting a live event as champions and supporters of local businesses along with their owners and staff members,” explained Jennifer Matthews. “However, if that isn’t possible, alternative arrangements for a virtual event are on standby.”
