London, ON – London Bicycle Cafe is proud to announce its sponsorship of six individuals who participated in the CAN-BIKE 5 training program from October 28 to 30. This intensive three-day training developed the skills of experienced cyclists to become certified CAN-BIKE instructors, expanding the roster of qualified trainers in the region.
By sponsoring this training, London Bicycle Cafe aims to enhance the local cycling community’s capacity to deliver high-quality cycling education. The newly certified trainers will support and grow London Cycle Link's "Ride to Thrive" program, which teaches Grade 5 and 6 students about road safety and the fundamentals of cycling in their communities.
“We’re excited to support this initiative that will build local expertise and foster a safer, more bike-friendly city,” said Andrew McClenaghan, co-owner of London Bicycle Cafe. “CAN-BIKE training equips riders with the skills they need to navigate urban environments confidently, and Ride to Thrive gives the next generation the foundation to enjoy cycling safely for years to come.”
The sponsorship reflects London Bicycle Cafe’s commitment to promoting cycling as a sustainable, healthy, and safe mode of transportation. Through partnerships and programs like these, the cafe continues to encourage Londoners to embrace cycling as part of a vibrant and connected community.
