LONDON, ON, APRIL 28, 2011 –KGK Synergize Inc., a contract research organization offering human clinical trials to the health nutrition industry, is very proud to announce the launch of their initiative called “It Makes Cents” in support of Vitamin Angels. Vitamin Angels is an organization focused on connecting essential nutrients with infants and children under five years old around the world.
Effective May 1st, 2011 KGK has committed to donating a portion of every contract signed for human clinical trials to Vitamin Angels with a goal of reaching 80,000 children and mothers over the next year.
“For the last few years I have been touched by the work that Vitamin Angels does in their fight against malnutrition and I felt compelled to help! Even though we are a small company, it only takes an incremental change in how we do business to make a big difference in the lives of others.” stated Najla Guthrie, President and CEO of KGK Synergize Inc. “The It Makes Cents initiative is our first step to bringing awareness to issues such as malnutrition and Vitamin A Deficiency (VAD) which contributes to blindness and under-five child mortality; as well as providing prenatal vitamins to support a women’s healthy pregnancy and contribute to the wellbeing of her infant.”
"Vitamin Angels is honored to be working with KGK Synergize. Their commitment to making this world a healthier place is outstanding,” said Howard B Schiffer, Founder and President of Vitamin Angels. “Together we are reaching over 24 million children around the world and in the US. For these children, the essential nutrients we provide are giving them a chance to lead full and productive lives. We could not do this work without KGK's support."
