Did you know Billy Bee honey, a Canadian and international favourite, is produced in London? And did you know Tim Hortons partnered with London based EK3 Technology (now Cineplex Digital) to roll out Tims TV across 2,200 Canadian restaurants?
There are many exciting businesses and opportunities that can be recognized and celebrated at home and around the world. But, so many stories go untold. The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) has published a first of its kind London magazine to take a different approach to showcase all that London has to offer; business, people, infrastructure and community.
“The magazine celebrates London in a manner that hasn’t been done before,” said Kapil Lakhotia, president and CEO, LEDC. “The magazine identifies successful London companies in the core economic drivers of our economy and builds a grand profile for London in external markets, which will support lead generation.”
The magazine features all original content. It has been printed with five different covers, which speak to specific focus areas of economic growth in London. Featured are internationally recognized firms based in London — 3M Canada, Trojan Technologies, Trudell Medical International, Hudson Boat Works and Digital Extremes. The visually appealing design of the magazine consists of images of local London landmarks and graphics making the product attractive. The magazine tells the London story with crisp, business-focused write-ups about sectors including advanced manufacturing, food processing, technology and life sciences. It also features arts and culture organizations and events contributing to the quality of life in London.
“It is the LEDC’s hope that this publication will be used to complement what is already being done to promote our great city, London businesses and the people behind them,” Lakhotia said.
From use at business presentations to international partners to recruitment fairs for London-located post-secondary institutions and innovative companies, the magazine content provides a substantial introduction to the Forest City. The professional quality and look of the magazine along with its extended shelf-life makes it a valuable addition in supporting LEDC and its partners’ efforts to promote London.
