London Web Company Develops Mobile Version to Help Celebrate London’s Unique Heritage

Doors Open London (DO London) launched their new website Friday July 24th, 2009 www.doorsopenlondon.ca.

The new website offers DO London participants a mobile version that will allow visitors of the two-day event taking place on September 19th and 20th this year, to look up participating sites and connect with Google maps to find each site’s location quickly, on the spot.

In its eighth year of celebrating London’s heritage, DO London hopes their new website will attract a wide range of participants by providing them with a user friendly mobile application that makes it easy to recognize and engage in the weekend event celebrating London’s significant and unique landmarks.

London web development company, Echidna Solutions Corp., built and designed the new website and its mobile version for DO London. “With the increased number of web enabled mobile devices more and more people are surfing the Internet from a hand-held device. Creating a mobile version of the DO London website was important to make it simple and fast to find each site and its location within a few clicks on a cell-phone, Blackberry or other mobile device,” said Andrew McClenaghan, Principal Owner of Echidna.

The new DO London website includes an updated graphic design, a built in content management system and is mobile enabled to ensure everyone can experience everything uniquely London!
