Lyft announced the launch of its rideshare services in London on Tuesday. The U.S. company came to Canada in 2017.

The rideshare service, founded in 2012, competes with Uber, a ride-hailing app that launched in London in July 2015.

Besides ride-hailing services, Lyft offers vehicles for hire, motorized scooters, a bicycle-sharing system, rental cars, and food delivery in the United States and some cities in Canada.

The other services have not officially been launched in London.

Lyft says it has provided more than 68 million rides to more than 2.5 million Canadians since it first launched in Toronto in 2017.
