The London region has a longstanding tradition of being a manufacturing hub in Southwestern Ontario. To continue to support the sector, the London Economic Development Corporation has partnered with the London Region Manufacturing Council to present Manufacturing Matters on September 26, 2014 (Click here to register.)
During the half day conference, delegates will learn valuable information from industry leaders and benefit from peer-to-peer networking. The conference will deliver essential advice applicable to all manufacturers in the London region.
“High-end manufacturing is making a comeback in North America with automation and highly skilled workforce leading the way. London is taking advantage of this paradigm shift by making significant investments in advanced manufacturing in the region,” said Kapil Lakhotia, president and CEO, LEDC. “The LEDC is happy to facilitate this conversation among industry specialists attending this conference.”
With close to 30,000 people, advanced manufacturing continues to be a significant employer in London’s economy. Leading companies such as 3M, Brose, and General Dynamics Land Systems - Canada have significant manufacturing facilities in London. Recent investments in 401/402 corridor, industrial lands, R&D facilities as well as skills training are some of the ways London is building the right infrastructure for manufacturers.
The conference will take place at the London Convention Centre.
