The learning platform's outcomes include:
- Enhancing researchers' abilities to implement co-creation design principles with diverse partners from a variety of sectors;
- Supporting research partners to learn more about collaborative opportunities in research, and various roles and opportunities with different types of research teams; and
- Empowering research partners to overcome power differentials when contributing their multi-sectorial expertise, lived experience, and critical perspectives throughout the research process.
Modules
The learning platform includes 3 self-directed core learning modules (~ 30 mins. in length each) created to support researchers and research partners across various sectors and research interests. The modules are geared for those who are interested in the idea of building authentic, long-lasting, and mutually beneficial research partnerships. Whether someone is new or has some prior experience with research partnerships, the modules are intended to help enhance and elevate collaborations for greater impact.
The modules have been designed with interactive features to provide current information and resources. The content is complemented by testimonials and video by Western research leaders and partners. Supplementary resource links are supplied throughout to support more in-depth learning according to individual needs.
