LONDON, October 22, 2024 – Are you ready for A Cross Country Race For All? Then register for the Canadian Cross Country Classic 5K, presented by BackRoads Brews + Shoes at Fanshawe Golf Course as part of the 2024 Canadian Cross Country Championships (ACXC).
Anyone can join the field on a 5K course at London, Ontario’s Fanshawe Golf Course on Sunday, December 1st, part of the 2024 Canadian Cross Country Championships weekend. The 5k, which is open to the public, is one of many races occurring that weekend, featuring Canada’s top cross country runners.
“If you want to try a cross country race on the same course the elite field will compete on for national championships, we want to see you in the Canadian Cross Country Classic 5K,” said Chris Winter, Athletics Canada’s Director, Domestic Programs and Safe Sport. “This is truly a race for all and we want to see friends, family and friends on the course December 1st.”
There are plenty of ways to participate in Canadian Cross Country Championships weekend. Your little runner could take part in the 1km kids race on Saturday, November 30. If you’re looking for a good time away from the race course, check out Fan Fest, enjoy entertainment, food, hot and cold drinks, and watch Canada’s top runners compete – many of which will have just returned from Paris!

About the 2024 Canadian Cross Country Championships
Canada’s best cross country runners will be navigating the trails of London, Ontario for the first time this November 30 and December 1, as the 2024 Canadian Cross Country Championships descend on the Forest City. Athletics Canada has partnered with Tourism London, the London Western Track & Field Club and the City of London to host the event in London this year and next.
ACXC, as the event is known, will attract more than 1,300 athletes (from U16 to Masters), as well as coaches and officials, and showcases the very best of Canada’s elite runners who compete for the title of national champion.
