Service Canada - Employer Services

Service Canada has a number of services that employers in the London region can access. Take a look below and visit their website to explore more serivces not listed here.

  • Service Canada provides employers with a single point of access to services and benefits, such as Apprenticeship Tax Credits, the Youth Employment Strategy, and the Job Bank. Click here to see a list of programs and services available to your company.
  • The Work-Sharing program is an agreement between employers, employees, and Service Canada to avoid layoffs through lower than average business periods. This program allows employers to continue their operations when they experience a temporary reduction in work activity.
  • You can apply for funding online through the Grants and Contributions Online Services platform. Apply and track your application status, sign agreements, submit supporting documents, and review past projects all through the platform. Take a look at the 3 steps required to create your account.
  • If you are an employer who provides your employees with a short-term disability plan and your plan meets certain requirements, you may be entitled to pay your Employment Insurance (EI) premiums at a rate that is lower than the standard employer rate of 1.4 times the employees' EI premiums. Take a look at the EI Premium Reduction program to see if you're eligible.
