Stream International - New Customer Centre

Company Expects to Employ 900 London-Area Residents

Canton, Mass. – Feb. 8, 2002 –

Stream International, a global Customer Relationship Management (CRM) outsourcing and support services provider for leading technology companies and e-businesses, and the London Economic Development Corporation announced today that Stream has selected London, Ontario, for its next Customer Interaction Center. Stream, a Solectron company, expects the Customer Interaction Center to employ up to 900 people once fully operational.

Stream has begun recruiting for all levels of employment positions, including customer interaction agents, and operations management positions. Management and staff positions at Stream are available in finance, human resources, facilities, information technology, telecom, operations planning, training and quality management. The company expects to fill its site management positions primarily from the London area.

“The commitment and cooperation that we have received from the city, the community, the London Economic Development Corporation, Fanshawe College and everyone involved in this process have been extremely positive,” said Robert T. Dechant, chief operating officer of Stream International. “The skill-levels of the applicants who attended our informational job fair and the overwhelming reception we received from the community in London were critical factors in our decision.”

“We are delighted to welcome Stream International to London and look forward to its dynamic influence within our business community,” said Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco. “Our city is recognized for excellence in its highly trained labour force, and we are confident that Londoners will respond well to this exciting opportunity to fill new quality jobs. This significant development confirms our belief that cooperative partnerships can result in success for all concerned.”

“Stream International’s decision to locate in London will bring significant economic benefits to the community,” said John Kime, president and CEO of the London Economic Development Corporation.

“This award winning, global company has a tremendous track record of success and a strong commitment to the community and its employees. We look forward to assisting Stream in any way we can.”

In connection with the new Customer Interaction Center, Stream has entered into a ten-year lease for the former Jones Box and Label building, 568 Second Street, London. The site will be Stream’s fourth Canadian site and twenty-third overall. Stream expects to complete construction of the Customer Interaction Center in May and be fully operational in June.
