On March 29, 2011, members of Southwestern Ontario’s business community can explore strategies and gain the tools needed to spark growth and ease growing pains at the second annual TechAlliance Gearing Up for Growth: Regional Growth Strategies Conference.
Held at the London Convention Centre, the conference hopes to welcome over 400 attendees and will begin with the Power Breakfast featuring Robert Herjavec, star of CBC’s Dragon’s Den and ABC’s Shark Tank. The one-day conference will also feature keynotes Sarah Prevette, one of North America’s top young entrepreneurs and founder of Sprouter, and Bill Johnson, former President and CEO of both McDonald's Canada and McDonald’s Mexico who credits London as his hometown.
Gearing up for Growth is the ultimate opportunity for business owners and leaders along with service providers, aspiring business executives, and employees interested in capitalizing on the newest growth trends. Gearing up for Growth breakout sessions complement the keynotes and follow four streams, each emphasizing a different and distinct growth opportunity for individuals and businesses alike. Breakout streams include Growing Leaders, Growing Innovation, Growing Markets, and Growing CEOs.
“Helping businesses grow is what TechAlliance strives to do and this conference is definitely a catalyst,” notes TechAlliance President and CEO Marilyn Sinclair. “We are able to bring great speakers to London and provide an environment where people and organizations can get together to share excitement about the future and gain the knowledge and resources to make that future a reality.”
Gearing up for Growth is part of London Tech Week, the city’s only week designated to celebrate and recognize the many world-class technology businesses that call the city home. London Tech Week is made possible by platinum sponsor Ernst & Young and with support from NRC-IRAP.
Conference participants can attend the entire conference, including the Power Breakfast ($175 for TechAlliance members, $249 for non-members), or choose to attend only the Power Breakfast ($50 for TechAlliance members, $65 for non-members). Special pricing is also available for corporate tables and large groups. For further information and registration details visit www.gearingupforgrowth.ca.
