London, ON – (May 24, 2006) Transmission component manufacturer, TransForm Automotive today announced the successful ISO 9001:2000 Registration of its newest operating facility located in London.
TransForm Automotive Canada Ltd., on Commerce Road in the Forest City Industrial Park has been ramping up since the building’s completion in late 2004.
Receipt of the ISO 9001:2000 Registration gives TransForm customers the assurance that the Quality Management System created meets international standards with a strong focus on meeting customer needs and expectations. The team is already preparing to take the next steps for certification to TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
Today it’s full steam ahead for the TransForm team. The current team of 37 employees will grow to approximately 125-130 once the plant is fully operational based on the original business plan. The final phases of launch will be realized upon installation of a second press, a mechanical dual ram 2000T, scheduled for October this year.
“This is the first of many accomplishments for the London team that we will celebrate as preparations are underway for expansions to Transforms’ Sterling Heights, Michigan and London, Ontario facilities,” said Transform President, Ted Ens.
