LONDON, ON - Trojan Technologies offers a unique program for Production associates: The Development Accelerator Program. The program was designed to promote career development and prepare high-performing Production associates for business, technical, and professional roles within the organization.
Launched in August 2023, The Development Accelerator Program was developed following the realization that several of our Production Operators had educational backgrounds that could be a great fit for different areas of the business. The initial cohort were given personalized development objectives crafted and supported through monthly conversations with senior members of the Operations team, who acted as our Program Champions. Development plans and ongoing support for each participant included:
- mentorships with more seasoned associates in their field of interest;
- job shadowing;
- formal educational opportunities;
- quarterly meetings with the VP of Operations;
- quarterly meetings with Sr. HRBP of Operations; and interview preparation assistance and post-interview feedback.
These tools ensured the participants had our full commitment to their success as they pursued new positions within the organization.
Eligibility requirements for the program included a minimum of six-month tenure with the organization, a performance rating of meeting expectations or above, and a completed profile in in our Human Resources Information System, Workday. We are thrilled to see more than half of our participants graduate from the program and acquire new positions align to their career aspirations. These associates leveraged the resources available to them, took advantage of the development opportunities, and have proven themselves to be top talent. The next cohort of associates will be enrolled in the program in September 2024.
