LONDON, ON – The London Economic Development Corporation, Small Business Centre, The Stiller Centre for Technology Commercialization and TechAlliance have once again partnered to host Venture London Business Competition.
Now in its fourth year, Venture London is the city’s premier business competition, designed to support and celebrate London-based ventures. Open to proposed and new businesses existing for less than two years judging takes place in two rounds, beginning with a business plan submission, followed by a presentation to a panel of final judges. The competition features over $50,000 in cash, prizes and business acceleration services.
Applicants can participate in an exclusive Business Planning Workshop designed to assist in developing a business plan. The free workshop focuses on the fundamentals of how to write a successful business plan and features a panel of experts who share information on what investors look for when reviewing a plan.
“We found the Venture London experience to be an extremely worthwhile endeavor as it forced us to look critically at our business plan and zero in on what needed tweaking,” says Tonya Constant of The Ant Firm, Venture London 2011 winner.
Applications for the Venture London Business Planning Workshop must be submitted by January 9, 2012 and completed business plans by February 9, 2012. Winners will be announced at the Venture London Awards Celebration in April.
