The London Economic Development Corporation, Small Business Centre, The Stiller Centre for Technology Commercialization and TechAlliance have once again partnered to host Venture London; our city’s premier Business workshop and competition.
Venture London is open to proposed or new, London-based ventures and community businesses existing for less than two years. Over the course of four months, participants have the opportunity to join an exclusive, free workshop designed to help develop their business plans, as well as entrepreneur-targeted seminars where they will receive feedback from some of London’s best business minds. The competition component of Venture London pitches participants against each other and in front of judges from across the city for their share of over $45,000 in cash and prizes.
“Small companies play a big role in the development of a vibrant business community,” notes Nancy Kopriva, Chair of the Venture London Steering Committee. “This competition is a great way for London organizations and businesses to band together in creating a supportive environment, one that helps entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation to flourish in our community.”
Applications for the Venture London workshop must be submitted by January 4, 2011 and completed business plan submissions by February 9, 2011 and must be sent to Nancy Kopriva at the Small Business Centre. Venture London winners to be announced at the Venture London Awards Celebration in April 2011.
