A Vintage Affair in Furniture: Habitus Store Sets the Stage with Grand Opening

The wait is over for London vintage furniture enthusiasts and design aficionados as Habitus Store is moving to a permanent physical location on August 31st. Habitus is thrilled to open its door to the public in its grand opening at 762 Dundas Street. With a year and a half experience under Habitus’ belt as an online presence and a year in an incubation location, the company has a mission to bring both modern and vintage furniture pieces to London.

“The best part of Habitus is meeting the wide range of people that come in to see our collection,” said owner of Habitus Store and entrepreneur Rob Hanson. “We see a lot of professors, designers, and public members that visit our collection and feel inspired by our pieces.”

With a strong background in architecture, Hanson began Habitus with a passion of curating a collection of vintage furniture that was fashionable and ageless. Partnered with leading Habitus designer Jenna Hertz, Habitus Store is striving to become a hub for creatives, artists, and discerning collectors to come together.  Nestled in the core of London and Old East Village, Habitus is housed in one of old Downtown’s original buildings. Many of the unique features have been exceptionally preserved, a perfect place for the vintage haven Habitus hopes to create.

Specializing in new and vintage Scandinavian furniture, including Danish Modern & Mid-Century Modern, Habitus brings affordable classic furniture with a bit of something for everyone. Events, collaborations, and design services are all planned for the future of the new store. Hanson hopes that in the coming years, Habitus will be able to expand its higher end furniture and décor collections, with the possibility of a second location in talks.

“We are committed to becoming London’s #1 destination for unique furniture,” said Hanson. “Our goal is to deliver exceptional pieces that in fifty years’ time will continue to be high quality and timeless in style.”

With its grand opening just around the corner, the store promises to redefine the art of decorating by embracing the allure of antiquity. Catered lunch will be provided to attendees, with special offers of exclusive décor furniture and limited time in-house deals.

Check out the Habitus Store website for more information on the upcoming grand opening or visit the store in-person on August 31st.
